Earthspring has been home to Evelyn Samuel and Michael Bocking since 1993. In 1992 Michael, a landscape architect, was involved with the Gowlland Foundation, a group in the Highlands dedicated to preserving private lands in the Gowlland Range. Evelyn, a communications director longing for a rural life, had sold her house in the city and was looking for property in the Highlands.
The day that Evelyn first visited the property that was to become Earthspring Sanctuary was the day that Michael and Evelyn met. In 1993, they became partners in the property, partners in life, and partners in the dream of creating a nature sanctuary and a place for people to find peace and healing.
They welcome all who seek refuge here and are pleased to have had a part in seeing Earthspring become the special place it is today.
